April has flown by and I have now found a little time to do what will be April & May’s blog. What have I been up to, the first part of April was with young horses and cattle back here at home in Qld.
Since February’s blog I have been on the road, recently returning from the South Island of New Zealand. While there, I got to experience the one in one hundred year storm of very strong winds and rain. I have also been to Charters Towers in Northern Queensland and this weekend I have a course outside of Sydney at Picton in N.S.W.
The last few weeks have seen a new intake of young horses at home in Qld, Australia. Some of these horses are now getting ready to go back to their owners. One of the common questions that get asked from owners is what do you do now.
Novembers blog has now also become December’s blog due to travelling and busy schedules. It was greetings to one and all from the South Island of New Zealand. I have now had courses in both the South and North Islands over the last couple of weeks, from horsemanship to cow working.
Where has the month of October gone. It does not seem that long ago that I was posting Septembers blog and here we are at the end of October. What has happened, well quite a lot.
I arrived back into Sydney – Australia late last night, having had stop overs in Spain & Dubai. With a shortened overseas schedule it is the first time that I have been back in Australia at this time of the year for many years. The irony is that as I have escaped the rain falling in the U.K. it is much needed within rural areas of Australia.
After last years very wet U.K. summer, fitting summer, sun and the U.K. into the same sentence did not seem possible. This year it has happened, thankfully. My U.K. visit for this year is now drawing to a close and has seen successful horse intakes and courses.
Unbelievable, the sun has come out to play in England, what a difference to last years summer. I am now halfway through my U.K. time and now starting my second week of the second intake of young horses with all having had 6- 7 rides. Prior to this intake of horses I was travelling the country from Lancashire to Liverpool finishing in Shropshire with a 3 day horsemanship course at Chris & Trevor Kynaston facility in Whitchurch.
