After last years very wet U.K. summer, fitting summer, sun and the U.K. into the same sentence did not seem possible. This year it has happened, thankfully. My U.K. visit for this year is now drawing to a close and has seen successful horse intakes and courses. The image to the left is of a 2 year old horse that was started in our current intake of young horses.
We have had courses all over the U.K. having just finished a 3 day course in Wiltshire. A big thank you to Clare and Lee MacLeod for all your efforts and your hospitality. You both make everyone feel very welcomed. The demonstration with the young horse on Thursday night went well and it was good to see many familiar faces as well as new.
In late July I was with Adrian and Hayley Wade in West Sussex starting polo horses. It is always a great time staying with the Wades. On the Sunday I was able to see the Polo Gold Cup final, a premier event on the polo calendar and catch up with old friends and make new ones at the game. Watching some of the worlds best polo players and their skills is great stuff. The image to the right is of one of the polo horses that I started while with Adrian and Hayley.
In September I will get to have a short stop over in Dubai and then it is back into my Australian schedule. Starting with a course in N.S.W. , at Picton just outside Sydney. Details are available on the course listing page of the website. I will be home for all of October with a young horse intake. A full Aust course listing is available on the website.
A big thank you to all who have hosted courses or ridden on courses in the U.K. Equally for those that have had horses started on the young horse modules, I trust that all is going well. I wish all well in their horsemanship and look forward to catching up next year when I return to the U.K.
